Local-first is an architecture, not a vague privacy label. This notice separates what stays local today, what the private beta may transmit, and which provider choices are still on the roadmap.
How the product is designed
Original footage
The original high-quality video stays on the user’s machine and is used locally for final rendering.
Analysis proxy
ZoneClip may generate and upload a smaller analysis proxy so its services can understand speech, game events, scenes, reactions, and candidate highlights.
Model provider choice
The intended architecture supports local models, self-hosted endpoints, and user-selected providers. These options are being developed and should not be interpreted as fully available in the current private beta.
Edit artifacts
The service may store job status, event evidence, transcripts, candidate metadata, edit plans, diagnostics, and render-ready specifications needed to complete and improve the workflow.
Early access information
The website stores the email address, creator role, primary game, referral path, and submission time supplied through the private beta form. This information is used for access invitations and relevant product updates.
Website analytics
The website uses Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate visits, referral sources, device categories, and interactions. This information helps ZoneClip evaluate content performance and improve the website.
Your choices
Before public launch, ZoneClip will provide a direct process for requesting access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information.
Cost and provider boundaries
Local models
Compatible local models can avoid metered cloud inference charges, but still use the user’s hardware, storage, energy, and time.
Bring your own provider
If a user chooses an external model provider, the data sent and fees charged are governed by that provider’s configuration and terms. ZoneClip will make the selected processing path visible before a job runs.
ZoneClip pricing
ZoneClip Free is a real $0 plan, not a time-limited trial. ZoneClip Pro is an optional upgrade; its exact features, limits, and pricing have not been finalized. “Free” does not include the user’s hardware, electricity, optional hosted services, or fees from a third-party provider the user chooses.
