DaVinci Resolve or Kdenlive
Both export without a forced watermark. Resolve is the deeper professional suite; Kdenlive is open source and cross-platform.
A normalized 2026 comparison of 18 leading editors and AI workflows: free access, paid entry price, watermarks, billing, architecture, clipping, generation, captions, reframing, publishing, and gaming support.
In 2026, serious video editing starts at $0: DaVinci Resolve and Kdenlive provide real no-watermark desktop editing. AI-first creator plans cluster around $10–$30 per month, but they do not sell the same unit. Compare the cost of an acceptable exported result, not a monthly badge.
These recommendations answer different jobs. A $12 generative plan, a $14 clip plan, and a $15 full editor are not substitutes simply because their monthly prices are adjacent.
Both export without a forced watermark. Resolve is the deeper professional suite; Kdenlive is open source and cross-platform.
ZoneClip Free is no-watermark and source-resolution but remains in private beta. Eklipse is an available cloud highlight workflow. Medal is capture-first.
These prices buy very different units: clips, generation credits, or an editor. Choose by workload, not the similar sticker price.
This is the main individual-creator band. Compare source-minute allowance, watermark policy, export quality, and repair controls.
A one-time license can be economical, but version upgrades, generative credits, stock assets, and cloud services may still cost extra.
Price per seat is only one component. Include source minutes, storage, social accounts, review, permissions, API, and support.
“From” is not total cost. Read the billing note and official source. Annual equivalents require an annual commitment; credits and free-plan limits differ by product.

Pricing note: public US prices or displayed USD prices reviewed July 30, 2026. Taxes, promotions, renewal rates, regions, app stores, feature tiers, and usage can change the final price. “No watermark” does not imply that every stock asset, template, generated model, or export format is included.
Strong means the capability is central to the product. Available means it is documented. Some means narrower or assistive. None of these marks score output quality.

This is published by ZoneClip. We identify ZoneClip as a private beta, label Pro as planned, and do not assign numerical quality scores to ourselves or competitors.
Capability marks describe documented product scope. They do not claim equal accuracy, speed, output quality, availability across every plan, or performance on your content.
The review date is visible, every price row links to an official source, and variable prices are labeled instead of reverse-engineered from stale third-party tables.
The cheapest usable option depends on the job. DaVinci Resolve and Kdenlive are $0 desktop editors without forced watermarks. ZoneClip Free is $0 for local-first gaming clips but is in private beta. Cloud AI products often have free plans, but watermarks, export restrictions, expiry, resolution, or credit limits can make the effective production cost higher.
ZoneClip Free is designed for no-watermark, source-resolution gaming exports. OpusClip and Vizard provide recurring free credits but their free exports have watermarks and retention or resolution limits. Riverside includes Magic Clips on its free plan but free exports are watermarked. Test the exact workflow because free-plan policies change.
Vendors meter different units: input minutes, output clips, seats, projects, storage, social accounts, exports, or generative credits. Annual prices may be shown as monthly equivalents, and app-store or regional prices can differ. Sticker prices are not directly comparable until converted into your workflow volume.
It can be over a multi-year period, especially for manual editing on local hardware. But a one-time NLE and an AI automation service solve different work. Include editor time, plugins, upgrades, generation, stock, storage, and publishing tools in the comparison.
Compare permissions, review, brand templates, shared storage, retention, social accounts, scheduling, analytics, API limits, SSO, security terms, support, export interchange, and the time required to correct automated output.
