Start with context
A candidate should contain enough setup for a new viewer to understand what is happening. A high-energy event is not useful if the clip starts after the viewer needed the missing context.
Check the decisive event
Confirm that the candidate contains the play, reaction, or payoff that makes the moment worth sharing.
Use scores as a signal
Treat the score as one input rather than a final publishing decision. The creator still selects the story worth finishing.
Check the boundaries
Make sure the beginning is not too late and the ending does not cut off the reaction. Extend or trim the candidate before editing when the complete moment needs more room.
